The Role

We are seeking a Product Manager on behalf of a leading multinational company . The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring profitable growth, strategic development and lifecycle management of ETO (Engineer-to-Order) solutions and commercial-grade products designed for non-industrial environments. This includes developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy aligned with market needs and internal capabilities. The Product Manager will also ensure that product information is well communicated to the commercial organization and fully supported throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

Own the entire product lifecycle of the assigned portfolio, adapting strategies based on each product line's maturity and market positioning.

Develop growth strategies based on internal capabilities, outsourced options, market directives, Voice of the Customer (VOC), and competitive benchmarking.

Lead the introduction of new product lines and manage product rationalization and phase-out activities.

Drive the development of business cases for new product initiatives and present proposals at relevant decision-making gates.

Lead product rollouts across strategic regions, including training, events, and go-to-market activities.

Define strategic pricing, delivery service levels, and aftermarket support across the entire product range.

Analyze cost structures, overhead allocation, and outsourcing opportunities to propose rationalization and cost-reduction initiatives and monitor their implementation.

Conduct competitive intelligence and monitor emerging technology trends.

Identify long-term market trends, including product evolution, route-to-market strategies, competitive landscape, and regulatory impacts.

Act as the main interface between engineering and sales, recommending product modifications to improve market performance.

Collaborate with Marketing Communications to ensure the creation and alignment of promotional materials, tools, and messaging.

Ensure accurate and timely communication of product information to the global sales organization.

Participate in customer-facing events and trade shows as needed.

Monitor and analyze sales performance, margins, forecasts, and global inventory levels; recommend actions to improve performance (e.g., via SIOP).

Track and assess market size, trends, share, and competitive activity.

Ensure compliance with defined service-level agreements and recommend corrective actions when needed.

Monitor product quality and propose measures to address any performance issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, or equivalent technical background

3–10 years of experience in product management or technical / commercial sales roles

Fluency both in Italian and English is required .
