Reporting

This Position reports to: Engineering Manager.

Your Role And Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the engineering of products according to the required technical specifications during product development and active product improvements.

• Leading and managing projects and activities during the life cycle of the products after release for sales; coordinating work of multi-location and cross-functional project teams, motivating and monitoring internal/external resources to accomplish tasks and milestones.
• Managing cost, scheduling and project objectives within a global organization; managing interdependencies between cross-functional workstreams to realize specified deliverables and benefits.
• Ensuring understanding of customer value in the projects and managing expectations; taking into account customer and ABB internal requirements.
• Ensuring transparency around change requests, identifying risks, and managing communication.
• Managing all product changes and customizations according to the ABB gate model from request to release for sales; working closely with agile teams, operation and sales units to fulfill business case and customer satisfaction in terms of response, delivery time, quality and performance.
• Transferring new products from development to operation with complete documentation (drawings, BoM, working instructions, spare parts list, product manuals).

Qualifications For The Role

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing technologies.
• Confidence using PLM systems (e.g., Windchill), SAP, MS Office, 2D/3D CAD tools.
• Excellent command of English; ability to communicate in Italian and English.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, and communicate clearly and professionally.
