Burberry in Florence is seeking a Product Developer for women’s formal footwear. You will translate design concepts into showroom-ready products, working closely with Design, Technical, Merchandising and vendors to balance quality, timing and cost across the development cycle.

You will help shape the collection by turning concept into tangible prototypes, samples and finished orders, ensuring alignment with creative direction and business targets.

Competenze

• Experience in footwear product development, ideally in women’s formal footwear.
• Ability to translate design intent into clear briefs for internal teams and vendors.
• Commercial awareness with understanding of costs, margins and budgets.
• Proficiency with PLM and Excel; English language at B2 level.

Mansioni

• Oversee end‑to‑end development of prototypes, samples and special orders for women’s formal footwear from design launch to showroom delivery.
• Interpret creative direction with Design, attend fittings, provide feedback and help protect the design vision.
• Collaborate with Technical teams and suppliers to resolve development challenges and keep stakeholders informed.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, assessing capabilities and ways of working to support business needs.
• Track orders and maintain PLM data and sample trackers throughout the collection process.

As a Product Developer in Burberry’s women’s formal footwear, you bring design concepts to showroom-ready products. You will work closely with Design, Technical, Merchandising and vendors to translate creative vision into craft, balancing quality, timing and cost. You contribute to the craft and precision behind Burberry products, delivering luxury footwear that reflects innovation and customer relevance. This role sits in Florence within the Product Development function, offering hands‑on collaboration and impact across the development cycle. You will help shape the collection by turning concept into tangible prototypes, samples and finished orders.

• Oversee end‑to‑end development of prototypes, samples and special orders for women’s formal footwear from design launch to showroom delivery
• Interpret creative direction with Design, attend fittings, provide feedback and help protect the design vision
• Collaborate with Technical teams and suppliers to resolve development challenges and keep stakeholders informed
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, assessing capabilities and ways of working to support business needs
• Track orders and maintain PLM data and sample trackers throughout the collection process
• Support delivery against critical path, quality expectations and cost targets, identifying risks and proposing actions
• Experience in footwear product development, ideally in women’s formal footwear, with knowledge of construction, materials and manufacturing processes
• Ability to translate design intent into clear briefs for internal teams, partners and vendors
• Commercial awareness with understanding of costs, margins and budgets
• Comfort working with vendors and factory partners, including on‑site collaboration
• Clear, collaborative communicator with ability to work across Design, Technical, Merchandising and supplier teams
• Proficiency with PLM and Excel; English language at B2 level or equivalent
