A leading recruiting firm in Italy is seeking a Procurement Leader to drive procurement strategies within the retail sector. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in strategic procurement, strong negotiation skills, and a degree in Economics. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work on sustainability and innovation within the procurement function.

Competenze

  • 5+ years of experience in Strategic Procurement, ideally in retail/fashion.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Strong command of English (B2 minimum); French knowledge is a plus.

Our goal is to create success stories and enrich the talent pipeline within our client companies. For a leading manufacturing company operating in the retail sector, we are currently looking for a Procurement Leader.

Role
  • Lead the procurement strategy for a specific material category (leathers and fabrics, metallic accessories, other products), ensuring optimal contractual conditions and supplier base solidity.
  • Ensure proper supplier capacity management, preventing risks of overloading or under-utilization.
  • Align suppliers with the brand’s quality, sustainability, and innovation objectives.
  • In collaboration with the Compliance team, assure suppliers compliance and performance through regular audits.
Main Responsibilities
  • Define and implement sourcing strategy for the assigned category
  • Negotiate framework contracts, prices, and commercial conditions with suppliers
  • Assess and monitor supplier production and quality capabilities
  • Identify and develop new sourcing opportunities aligned with brand requirements
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Planning, Compliance and Quality teams to ensure alignment with objectives
  • Analyze market trends and supply chain risks
  • Prepare and conduct supplier performance reviews in collaboration with the Purchasing Leader and other departments (Quality, …)
  • Ensure the procurement of materials for new collections.
Requirements
  • Degree in Economics, Management Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in Strategic Procurement, ideally in retail/fashion.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Knowledge of market dynamics related to the assigned category.
  • Strong command of Excel and Power BI (or equivalent tools).
  • English level B2 minimum; French knowledge is considered a plus.
