Job summary

Strategic Micro Systems of NJ, LLC. in Italy seeks a Process Engineer to drive SiC technology ramp-up at the new mass production fab in Catania. You will optimize manufacturing equipment and industrial processes to support the capacity ramp-up and qualification of equipment in the early stages.

The role requires a Master in engineering/science, experience in silicon/SiC processing, and fluent English. You will collaborate with suppliers, monitor equipment, and help introduce new technologies

YOUR ROLE

You will be a key contributor to SiC Technology volume ramp-up in ST. The work location will be in the new mass production fab in Catania for the manufacturing of devices on SiC substrates. This facility is a first of a kind in Europe for the production in volume of 8” SiC devices, integrating all steps in the production flow.

Your main tasks as a Process Engineer will be to optimize and improve the efficiency of manufacturing equipment and industrial processes. In the early stages of the new Fab, special focus will be on the start-up and qualification of equipment and processes to support the capacity ramp-up.

The expected salary range for this position is €38,000 – €45,000 gross annual salary (RAL), plus variable pay relevant for the role.

In accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and applicable Italian legislation, this compensation range has been determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including job responsibilities, required skills, relevant experience, qualifications, and market benchmarks. Placement within the range will depend on the candidate’s profile and demonstrated competencies. The final offer will be made in compliance with the applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL), where relevant, and our internal compensation policies.
