Qualifications

• A degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years hands-on PCB design and layout experience in automotive contexts.
• Strong analog/mixed-signal circuit design and power conversion theory.
• Experience with Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro in automotive environments.

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Join a highly collaborative team where you will design and validate advanced power supply solutions for next-generation ADAS and autonomous driving platforms.
• Collaborate with system architects, technical marketing, and product engineers to develop safe, reliable, and high-performance system solutions that power the vehicles of tomorrow.
• Design and develop automotive-grade power supply solutions for high-performance ADAS/AD SoCs, selecting and optimizing across multi-phase buck, buck-boost, PMIC and LDO/POL topologies to meet demanding efficiency, transient, thermal and EMC targets.
• Ensure all power supply designs meet stringent automotive standards including AEC-Q100 component selection and implementing ISO 26262(ASIL-B/D) safety concept for power monitoring, diagnostics, etc.
• Act as the technical interface between the ADAS/AD system architect, technical marketing and product engineers in order to translate complex SoC power specifications into robust, production-ready hardware designs.
• Run Spice and MATLAB simulations, execute prototype bring-up, and perform bench characterization (efficiency, thermals, load-step response, ripple/noise) plus fault-injection to prove robustness and reliability against requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders from business lines across ATV to ensure optimal system-level solutions using Infineon products, including microcontrollers, power semiconductors, and sensor ICs in combination with SoC.
• Serves as the single point of contact for deep technical discussions incl. technical training and workshops.

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• You are a hands-on technical expert with strong communication skills, able to bridge the gap between engineers, system architects, and business stakeholders.
• You enjoy leading technical discussions, building trusted partnerships, and turning complex requirements into practical solutions.
• A degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on analog/mixed-signal circuit design, power conversion theory, and PCB physics.
• At least 10 years of hands-on experience in PCB design and layout using industry-standard design tools, including Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro, ideally in the automotive industry.
• Deep understanding of schematics and electronics components, with the ability to optimize for signal integrity, power efficiency and electromagnetic compatibility.
• Proven experience in power electronics (high current, high-density PCB design) in the 500W+ range - with pre-layout simulation experience.
• Strong experience with microcontroller-based designs and interfacing with sensors, power switches, gate drivers and communication buses incl. functional safety and automotive design standards.
• Practical experience with signal analysis tools, such as oscilloscopes for design validation and debugging.
• Fluency in English.

Salary pay information

Location: Padova, Italy. Indicative salary range: €63.360 - €87.120. The stated salary comprises annual base pay and target variable compensation. The starting salary is determined using objective, gender neutral criteria, including relevant experience, qualifications, and role scope; prior compensation is not requested or considered. Employees also benefit from a comprehensive total rewards package, which may include further compensation and benefit elements depending on local regulations and company policies.
