Westinghouse Electric Company seeks a Principal Procurement Engineer to lead energy systems procurement across projects, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence and quality compliance. The role is 100% remote with international travel up to 10–20% to supplier sites in Europe.

You will develop sourcing plans, interface with Business, Engineering, Quality and Sales, and report to the APX Global Supply Chain Solution Manager. Strong English skills required; Italian/Spanish a plus.

Competenze

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
• 10+ years of global procurement experience or global supplier project management.
• Experience working with multinational teams.
• Nuclear or mechanical professional background preferred.
• Proficiency in English; Italian or Spanish a plus.

About The Role

As Principal Procurement Engineer you will be part of the Energy Systems APX Global Supply Chain Solution team. You will lead all the procurement activities related to energy systems of the Procurement Projects assigned. Your will ensure that the team delivers components on time, on budget, and meeting all applicable quality requirements. You will be in charge of monitoring active projects, updating status and changes, eliminating roadblocks and escalating issues. You will contribute to development a sourcing plan to minimize risks, create savings, and ensure predictive delivery. You will be the direct interface for Business team, Engineering, Quality and Sales Departments, and external customers on the Energy Systems contracts. You will report to the APX Global Supply Chain Solution's Manager. The positions is 100% remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Support development of procurement strategies and plans together with Offer and Project Management teams. Identify and capture demand, identify potential suppliers, and establish a communication channel towards the suppliers.
• Support Commercial teams with sourcing strategies for suppliers and services, support definition of commercial conditions, solicit quotations and analyze contract proposals, lead contract preparation and purchasing process. Analyze all elements of cost for commodity groups to identify and obtain cost improvements. Develop strategies and tacticst to maximize supplier base cost/value.
• Coltivate relationships withsuppliers and partners while mediating and resolving contract performanceissues. Understand all operational and commercial elements of suppliers, such as Financial Stability and Goals, Global/Regional Presence, Available Capacity, Top customers, and Top competitors. Review and communicate safety-related requirements and details with suppliers and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Westinghouse's Procurement policies.
• Understanding of supplier capacity, capability and manufacturing processes compared to project technical requirements in collaboration with Supplier Performance Excellence Organization.
• Manage supply and supplier commitments after making a purchase order or contract, including change and contract management. Understanding and analyzation of the entitlement and cost basis, supporting negotiation, drafting agreements on changes and reflecting the change in the System.
• Support the Accounts Payables for resolution of discrepancies between the supplier invoices and the purchase orders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in global procurement activities or global supplier project management activities
• Experience working with multinational teams
• We require a nuclear or mechanical professional background.
• Proficiency in English. We consider Italian or Spanish knowledge a plus.
• Availability to travel up to 10-20% per month to supplier's sites in Italy or Spain

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The annual gross base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be €51.800,00 to €64.900,00.
