Jobtailor in Milan, Italy, seeks a Pre-Sales Cybersecurity Engineer to translate customer needs into PAM architectures and deliver solution demonstrations for partners and end customers.

The role focuses on technical presentations, workshops, PoC management, and close collaboration with the sales team to push cybersecurity proposals across the portfolio.

Travel within Italy is expected as required.

Work closely with the sales team on pre-sales activities, including customer meetings, solution presentations, and technical workshops
Understand customer and partner requirements and translate them into cybersecurity architectures aligned with the company portfolio
Act as a technical reference for partners and end customers throughout the pre-sales cycle
Design and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and solution proposals
Manage and execute Proof of Concept activities from planning through validation with resellers and end customers
Support initial configuration, deployment, and validation of solutions during early project phases
Serve as the technical interface between vendors, partners, customers, and internal teams
Deliver technical training sessions, workshops, and enablement activities in classroom, online, or on-the-job formats
Keep up to date with market trends, emerging technologies, and vendor solutions

Requirements

Proven experience in IT, preferably in pre-sales, technical consulting, cybersecurity, or engineering roles
Strong ability to collaborate with sales teams, vendors, partners, and customers
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Good command of English (B1–B2 level)
Willingness to travel within Italy as required
Hands‑on experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) platforms and privileged account lifecycle management
Experience with password vaulting, credential rotation, discovery, and onboarding of privileged accounts
Experience with privileged session management, monitoring, recording, and auditing
Knowledge of least privilege, privilege elevation, application control, and endpoint privilege management
Knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, identity management, authentication, and authorization concepts
Knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, LAN, WAN, VPN, SSH, RDP, and SMB
Administration experience with Windows and Linux systems, services, and privileged accounts
Experience integrating PAM solutions with SIEM, ITSM, MFA, directories, and security platforms
Knowledge of cloud environments including Azure, AWS, and GCP, and cloud privileged access concepts
Knowledge of virtualized environments including VMware and Hyper‑V and common enterprise infrastructure components
Basic knowledge of databases, APIs, scripting, and automation for system integration
Knowledge of security principles including least privilege, Zero Trust, segregation of duties, and credential protection
Troubleshooting knowledge for infrastructure, connectivity, certificates, authentication, and access issues
Understanding of security frameworks and regulatory requirements related to privileged access
Experience delivering technical training or workshops (nice to have)
Knowledge of or experience with PAM vendors such as Delinea, BeyondTrust, CyberArk, WALLIX, or similar solutions (nice to have)
Relevant vendor‑neutral or vendor‑specific certifications (nice to have)
Experience with solution deployment, migration, or professional services activities (nice to have)
