Position Summary
As Power Electronics System Designer (PSD), you will be responsible for the high level design and implementation of the power electronic converter for automotive e‑Mobility products.
Responsibility
- Analyze power converter requirements
- Define topologies in line with the established concept
- Model the power converter in terms of Average, Behavioral and loss analysis
- Define control strategy high level requirements
- Contribute to Test Plan definition
- Execution and success of the integration between control algorithms on DSP and chosen HW architecture on target plant
- Interact with all specialized functions of Project Team in order to implement an optimal solution in terms of cost, performance, reliability, quality.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong skills in the field of power electronic converters: architectures / topologies and related control strategies: stability analysis and compensation techniques, digital control
- In-depth technical knowledge of challenges and solutions for high voltage - high power switching converters (power devices, passive components, magnetics, ...) with special focus of Wide Band Gap (WBG) technology
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards for converters
- Knowledge of Functional Safety principles (ISO26262)
- Knowledge of EMC domain
- Familiarity with modeling tools (Matlab, PLECS, PSIM, and/or similar) and circuit simulation tools (e.g.: PSpice, LTSpice,...)
- Fundamentals of programming in C language
- Knowledge of Mentor Graphics CAE suite
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience through product life cycle phases such as requirements definition, Design, Analysis, Build, Test, Verification and Integration
- Good knowledge of English (written and spoken)

- Deep knowledge of power electronics architectures, systems and components
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering and knowledge of power electronics control
- Good English spoken and written
