Postdoctoral Fellow, Quality Use of Medicines (QUM)

Job is based in Australia.

Employment Type: Full time (35 hours a week)
Duration: 2 year Fixed‑Term with possibility of extension (funding dependent)
Remuneration: $91k – $121k base (plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
Work Rights Required: Visa sponsorship is not available. Candidates must hold full rights to work in Australia.

The Opportunity
Join a nationally recognised research team focused on improving the Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) and contribute to impactful health outcomes across clinical, academic, and policy sectors. You will support a portfolio of multidisciplinary QUM research and education projects. You will contribute to study design, data collection and analysis, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge translation activities. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and coordinate research activities to high scientific and ethical standards.
• Contribute to the development of research questions and study designs.
• Undertake literature reviews and data analysis using qualitative and/or quantitative methods.
• Prepare peer‑reviewed publications, reports, and conference presentations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders.
• Assist in preparing research grant proposals and ethics submissions.
• Support knowledge translation and dissemination of findings.

Skills and Experience

• A PhD in pharmacy, medicine, nursing, public health, or a related discipline.
• Experience conducting systematic reviews and health‑related research using qualitative and/or quantitative methods.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including academic writing.
• Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., NVivo, SPSS, SAS, Stata).
• Understanding of ethical and governance requirements in health research.
• Experience contributing to research funding applications.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research environment.
