Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Portables Technician in Piemonte to perform inspections, maintenance, and service on portable fire protection equipment with minimal supervision. You will follow NFPA standards, document all work, and communicate clearly with customers and teammates.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years in the fire and life safety industry, and a clean driving record where applicable. NICET certification is preferred.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
• Strong understanding of portable fire protection equipment and applicable codes.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving role).

Mansioni

• Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and servicing of portable fire extinguishers and related equipment independently.
• Complete standard service calls without direct supervision while ensuring quality and compliance.
• Conduct annual inspections, maintenance, and assist with testing as required.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.
• Accurately document services performed, including tagging and reporting.
• Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to customers and supervisors.
• Maintain and properly use tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
• Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job status and findings.

Formazione

3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician

NICET Level I or above preferred
