Overview

Our client is a well-established industrial company, part of an international group and recognized as a market leader in the development and production of high-value products for global markets.

To support an ambitious growth plan and further strengthen site-level leadership, we are looking for a Plant Director with solid experience in managing complex manufacturing environments and strong leadership capabilities.

The context is structured, technical, and continuously evolving, with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence. The role offers high visibility and autonomy within a group that considers this site a strategic asset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full responsibility for the management of the production site, overseeing Operations, Quality, Maintenance, HSE, Logistics, and Engineering
  • Leadership of cross-functional teams across multiple operational areas
  • Monitoring and continuous improvement of key industrial KPIs (efficiency, costs, safety, quality, scrap, OEE, etc.)
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and managing inspections and audits
  • Budget ownership, investment planning, and capex management
  • Acting as the primary liaison with corporate and global functions to ensure strategic alignment
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and performance excellence
Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • University degree in a scientific, engineering, or technical discipline
  • At least 10 years of experience in industrial operations, ideally with previous site management or senior leadership responsibilities
  • Strong background in regulated or structured manufacturing environments

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of industrial best practices in operations, quality, and supply chain
  • Experience in managing maintenance, safety, and production efficiency programs
  • Familiarity with ERP / MES systems and performance monitoring tools
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Soft Skills

  • Proven leadership and strategic planning abilities
  • Results-driven, with a strong continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent communication and change management skills
  • High level of autonomy and sound decision-making
  • Availability to travel occasionally within Italy and abroad
