Competenze

About Our Client

Our client is a leading industrial group operating in the manufacturing of technical components for the automotive and plastics transformation sectors. The group manages multiple production facilities , with a strong focus on operational excellence, lean transformation, and compliance with industry standards.

The company is engaged in an ambitious process of international industrial development and organizational transformation.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating closely with the General Management, the plant Director will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of all plants. The role will ensure efficiency, quality, and delivery performance across the full operations scope, while driving lean transformation and sustainability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Full responsibility over the Production, Logistics, Planning, Maintenance, Technical Facilities, and Continuous Improvement areas across multiple sites
  • Development and implementation of operational strategies to improve production efficiency, productivity, and cost optimization
  • Drive process optimization through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and digital tools (e.g., MES)
  • Coordination with supply chain functions including procurement, vendor management, material planning, and inventory control
  • Close collaboration with R&D and Technical departments to support product and process industrialization and new technology integration
  • Monitoring of key performance indicators (KPI) related to efficiency, quality, delivery time, and cost
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and HSE requirements
  • Co-definition of industrial budgets and investment plans with the General Management (technology upgrades, innovation, facility improvements)
  • Lead and develop operational teams, fostering a continuous improvement culture
  • Supervise cross-functional international projects aimed at harmonizing production systems and processes across sites

The Successful Applicant

We are looking for a highly experienced operations leader with strong industrial knowledge and a proven track record in plant and multi-site management.

  • University degree in Industrial, Management, or Chemical Engineering
  • Preferably, an MBA or postgraduate qualification in Business or Operations
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in Operations Management, with at least 3 years in senior leadership roles
  • Industry background in plastics transformation, automotive, or high-standard technical manufacturing
  • Proven experience leading international projects and managing multi-plant operations
  • Deep understanding of production systems, global supply chains, and lean methodologies (TPM, Six Sigma)
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and digital production tools
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements (CSR)
  • Strong command of industrial cost control, KPIs, and statistical analysis tools
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Strong IT skills (MS 365 and related tools)
