A leading engineering firm in Milan is looking for a Planning Engineer to manage project control activities. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be fluent in English, and possess at least 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in Oil & Gas or renewable energy projects. This full-time role is essential for ensuring compliance with project requirements and schedules.

Competenze

• At least 4 years experience in a similar position.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Renewable/Photovoltaic Plants/Wind Farm Projects is a plus.

Mansioni

• Execute planning and reporting activities under supervision.
• Prepare project control documents in compliance with requirements.
• Review all planning reports and outputs.
• Perform periodic schedule control and assess project progress.
• Interact with Company Departments, Client, and Vendor representatives.
• Train and support Planning Junior Engineers.
• Manage planning activities without direct supervision for small size projects.

Overview

Responsibilities

• To execute the activities pertaining to planning / reporting within a project, under the supervision of the Project Control Manager, in compliance with quality requirements and Project Execution Plan, WBS and Schedules.
• Preparation of the project control documents (Milestones Plan, Project Summary Schedules, 90 days Schedule, WBS, Project Detailed Schedule, Baseline Schedule, Progress Curves, Reporting) of competence in compliance with the project requirements under the supervision of the Project Control Manager/Coordinator
• Reviewing all planning reports, outputs and presentations
• Performing the periodical schedule control by means of time now technique, assess physical progress of the project and forecast the predicted completion evidencing any deviations towards the approved baselines
• Interaction with all relevant Company Departments, Client and Vendors representatives for the topics of competence
• Train and support Planning Junior Engineers in initializing the project control tools as per the procedures
• Manage the planning activities even without direct supervision in case of small size EPC project

In addition he/she has to demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, including the editing, oversight or preparation of technical reports and the presentation of information to Top Management and various committees
