A leading Italian financial group in Milan is seeking a skilled individual for the Financial and Balance Sheet Planning team. The candidate will engage in planning and analysis of key financial parameters, requiring strong Excel, PowerBI skills, and experience in financial planning or banking. A permanent contract is offered.

Competenze

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Big Four firm, auditing, consulting, or a similar role.
  • Prior experience in the banking sector is a notable plus.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented.

Our team maintains active collaborations with other units within our department, as well as with the Finance, Accounting, and Risk & Capital Adequacy departments.

Within our Strategy, Financial Planning & Analysis department, the Financial and Balance Sheet Planning unit is pivotal for planning and overseeing various financial aggregates, including:

  • Net interest income and brokerage fees in the income statement
  • Balance sheet components such as banking book, lending book, and deposit funding
  • Value-based metrics

As part of our dynamic team, the successful candidate will undertake responsibilities such as:

  • Planning and tracking of net interest income and brokerage fees
  • Periodically updating pricing lists, the TIT model, and the cost of capital model
  • Conducting analysis on value creation KPIs and maintaining value-based tools
  • Developing analyses and reports for top management on a regular and as‑needed basis
Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and experiences:

  • A degree in economics; a major in accounting or finance is highly advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Big Four firm, auditing, consulting, or a similar role in a financial institution (e.g., Financial Planning & Analysis, Finance, or Risk department)
  • Prior experience in the banking sector is a notable plus

Key skills required for this role include:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Capacity to craft compelling PowerPoint presentations
  • Aptitude for managing and analyzing large datasets
  • Experience with PowerBI
  • Comprehensive understanding of key Financial Markets topics (e.g., fixed income) and Risk topics (e.g., regulatory ratios)
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg
  • Exceptional written English skills
