A leading engineering firm in Milano is seeking a Piping Engineer to perform design and engineering tasks within specified time and budgets. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in Piping & Layout engineering, proficiency in related software (Autocad, MS Office), and strong English communication skills. This is an opportunity to contribute to diverse engineering projects in a dynamic environment.

Competenze

• 5+ years of work experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to understand P&ID, plot, isometrics, plan & section view, MTO.

Mansioni

• Perform design, engineering and drafting activities.
• Execute tasks assigned by the Piping Chief Engineer.
• Review technical documentation and client requirements.
• Prepare project specifications and material requisitions.
• Conduct field verification activities.

Perform the design activities and issue the deliverables assigned to him by the Piping Chief Engineer, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety / environment requirements, within the specific time schedule and cost.

Key aims and objectives

Perform design, engineering and drafting activities relevant to Piping discipline works.

Prime responsibilities and duties

• Execute all the actions and tasks assigned by the Piping Chief Engineer, supporting him in developing engineering
• and/or interfacing Client or Vendors.
• Review contractual technical documentation and requirements.
• Provide input for vendor equipment coordination for specific discipline aspects.
• Provide material take-off for project estimates.
• Prepare project specifications, in conjunction with specific discipline Senior Engineer.
• Prepare material requisitions / technical bid evaluation, in conjunction with specific discipline Senior Engineer.
• Perform field verification activities.

Qualification and requirements

• Piping & Layout engineering background
• Capability to read and understand engineering documentation (P&I D, plot, isometrics, plan & section view, MTO,…)
• Knowledge of major international engineering Codes,
• Computer skills including Autocad, MS Office, Naviswork, Puma.
• Good written and spoken English
• Bachelor / High School Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of work experience
