The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in physical therapy, a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, and the ability to work in a dynamic military setting. Competenze

Summary

Bering Global Solutions, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC), is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Level 3 for the Air Force Human Performance Optimization (HPO) Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC) at Luke AFB, AZ. This position will support the standup of a human performance team in a military setting. The work will take place in a human performance (HP) facility that incorporates job‑specific conditioning, cutting‑edge HP technology, and easy‑access to prehab & rehab physical therapy. At a minimum, the program will address chronic neck and back pain, increased cognitive demands of modern operations, and the need for holistic resiliency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of the program rehabilitation system in accordance with all local, state, and national laws and regulations, as well as licensing and insurance certification.
  • Review patient records and provide appropriate assessments to determine physical therapy treatment requirements.
  • Perform patient tests, measurements and evaluations and record findings in the patient database.
  • Administer appropriate treatment as indicated.
  • Appropriately supervise and direct support staff in providing patient care and performance of their job responsibilities.
  • Record patients' treatment, response, and progress daily.
  • Update treatment plan and/or reevaluate patients as needed to ensure optimal outcome.
  • Develop relationships with outside support staff to include but not limited to flight medicine, dental, strength coaches, performance psychologists, etc.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications – Experience, Education and Certification
  • 10+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist (or Athletic Trainer if dual credentialed) in a tactical, collegiate, or professional sport setting.
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited program.
  • Current certification in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), including Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
  • Ability to work independently or in a team and meet deadlines.
  • Study, follow and apply designated AF training and safety directives and guidelines.
  • Effectively work with frequent changes, interruptions and varying environmental conditions.

Necessary Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time. Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.

Work Environment

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi‑line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

Additional Qualifying Factors
  • As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre‑employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.
  • If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
