The Università degli Studi di Milano invites applications for two fully-funded doctoral positions within the DIViNE network: DC1 – Historical Legacies of Violence and Democratic Institutions. The position is governed by MSCA Doctoral Networks rules and offers a 36-month contract starting January 2027.

The DC1 project will analyse how past political violence shapes contemporary democracies, with research training spanning qualitative methods, archival research, and quantitative event-data

Formación

• Be a doctoral candidate, not yet in possession of a doctoral degree.
• Master's degree (or equivalent) in Political Science, International Relations, Conflict/Peace Studies, Sociology or related field.
• Strong academic track record and proficiency in English.
• Eligibility requires mobility and readiness for international training.
