Job summary

Fondazione Telethon ETS invites applicants for First Stage Researcher (R1) PhD positions in Italy. The funded roles concentrate on experimental research in gene editing and gene therapy, addressing therapeutic applications for inherited retinal diseases, enzymatic deficiency disorders, lysosomal storage disorders, and cancer.

Trainees will benefit from state-of-the-art facilities across the Fondazione Telethon institutes, with mobility opportunities under MSCA rules, and a gross annual base

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, chemistry, or related disciplines.
• Not yet holding or having defended a doctoral degree.
• Comply with the MSCA mobility rule: applicants must not have lived or carried out their main activities in Italy for more than 12 months in the 36 months preceding the call deadline.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
