Job summary

Tesco Pharmacies seeks a Pharmacy Manager for a fixed-term role of 1 year starting January 2027. You will oversee pharmacy services, support pharmacists, and deliver healthcare advice to customers within a flexible, supportive team.

The role emphasizes leadership, team development, and community engagement. You will manage staff scheduling, ensure NHS and private services run smoothly, and contribute to Tesco’s charitable and community health initiatives.

Qualifications

• You’ll have a Pharmacy Degree.
• You’ll be passionate about leading and empowering a team.
• You’ll be a member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and be willing to join the PVG Scheme.
• You’ll complete a DBS check (organised by us) before employment.
• Pharmacists working for Tesco will have to complete a DBS check (organised by Tesco) prior to commencement of employment.

You will be responsible for

• Youll supply prescriptions, deliver a range of NHS and Private services and provide healthcare advice to customers
• You’ll play anactive role in our charities support program giving advice to people in the community at risk of or living with cancer, heartdisease, and diabetes.
• Youll lead, train, and develop colleagues.
• Youll use a planning system to ensure pharmacy staff are available, so were always there to meet our customers needs.

You will need

• Youll have a Pharmacy Degree.
• Youll be passionate about leading and empowering a team.
• Youll be a member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and be willing to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme well help you with this when we offer you the role.
• Youll complete a DBS check (organised by us) before employment.
• Pharmacists working for Tesco will have to complete a DBS check (organised by Tesco) prior to commencement of employment.

Our Pharmacy Managers are supported by wider store teams, such as security, stock replenishment, range management, and administration to ensure a smooth and consistent experience for our customers and patients, whilst maintaining theirs and our colleagues safety.
