About the Role

As a Packaging Development Manager based at our Mira factory, you will drive the development of sustainable, high‑performance packaging solutions across Reckitt’s portfolio. Working closely with the Global Innovation, R&D, Supply, and Marketing teams, you will bring Reckitt’s sustainability ambitions to life through breakthrough design and cost‑effective solutions.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage packaging development projects for multiple product categories (home, hygiene, germ protection).
  • Deliver innovative, cost‑effective, and sustainable packaging solutions aligned with Reckitt’s sustainability roadmap.
  • Oversee the entire packaging lifecycle – concept design, 3D modelling, prototyping, testing, validation, and industrialisation.
  • Act as Product Owner within cross‑functional Agile teams, fostering collaboration among R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Marketing.
  • Partner with global suppliers and technology partners to identify and implement cutting‑edge materials and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with global packaging standards, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive laboratory testing, line validation, and technical documentation for new packaging formats.
  • Manage and develop a cross‑functional team of packaging engineers and specialists.
  • Implement new technical systems and tools to enhance packaging efficiency and quality.
  • Anticipate future packaging trends, materials, and innovations to support Reckitt’s strategic growth and environmental goals.
The Experience We're Looking For
  • 5‑10 years of experience in packaging development within FMCG, beverage, or household product industries.
  • Proven success in end‑to‑end project management and product industrialisation.
  • Deep expertise in packaging materials and technologies (plastics, cartonboard, laminates, sustainable alternatives).
  • Experience working in international and cross‑functional teams.
  • English language skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Packaging Engineering, or related field.
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and/or graphic software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop) is an advantage.
