Job summary

MUSC Health Florence Medical Center is seeking a Certified Lymphedema Occupational Therapist for outpatient care. The role involves evaluating patients, directing therapy, and coordinating with the care team to achieve rehabilitation goals.

Ideal candidates hold an Occupational Therapy degree, SC license, and BLS; Lymphedema certification is preferred. 40-hour work week with a 20k sign-on bonus and state benefits available.

Qualifications

• OT degree from an accredited school.
• One year of experience preferred; new graduates acceptable.
• SC OT license required; BLS or equivalent certification; Lymphedema certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, administers and directs the administration of therapeutic procedures in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
• Develops treatment plans and priorities; educates and counsels patients and families.
• Collaborates with physicians, family members and other clinicians to provide effective therapies.
• May direct support staff in assisting with treatment.

Certified Lymphedema Occupational Therapist

Evaluates, administers and directs the administration of therapeutic procedures utilized in physical medicine and rehabilitation, as prescribed by a referring practitioner. Establishes goals of occupational therapy and reassess this patient's progress at regular, timely intervals, supporting findings with appropriate documentation. Assesses and treats speech and language disorders and impairments. Conducts evaluations of an individual's speech and language skills using relevant diagnostic materials and tools. Develops treatment plans that utilize appropriate intervention approaches, strategies, and materials. Establishes treatment priorities that include advising, educating, and counseling. Completes required documentation to record assessment and progress. Collaborates with physicians, family members, and other clinical providers to provide effective therapies. May direct support staff in assisting with treatment.
