Kyndryl Italia S.P.A. seeks a senior database administrator to lead the design, deployment and optimization of mission-critical database environments.

You will work with Oracle, SQL, MongoDB and PostgreSQL, shape architecture, enforce standards and collaborate with global teams to modernize core systems. This permanent, full-time role offers a hybrid work model in Italy, with a salary range of €49,530 to €89,180 depending on skills and geography.

The Role

Bring your specialist knowledge and experience to a company managing 50% of the world’s MIPS and open up the opportunity to shape the very foundation of the technology that drives our world. In this role, you’ll manage and administer the backbone of our technological infrastructure. You'll be the architect of the system, shaping the base definition, structure, and documentation to ensure the long‑term success of our business operations.

What you will do

• Optimize systems: Your expertise will be crucial in configuring, installing and maintaining database management systems, ensuring that our systems are always running at peak performance.
• Set security protocols: You’ll be responsible for managing user access and implementing policies and procedures to protect our valuable data from unauthorized access and external threats.
• Plan ahead: You will conduct capacity planning and growth projections based on usage, ensuring that our system is always scalable to meet our business needs.
• Make progress: You’ll be a strategic partner, working closely with various teams to coordinate systematic database project plans that align with our organizational goals.
• Generate ideas: You’ll have the opportunity to propose and implement enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system, enabling us to deliver world‑class services to our customers.
• Be ready to recover: Develop strong backup and recovery plans to ensure that our system is always protected in the event of a failure.
• Support solutions: Use your technical acumen to support end users and application developers in solving complex problems related to our database systems.

The position will be governed by the Italian National Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees of the Metalworking Industry (Contratto Collettivo Nazionale di Lavoro per i dipendenti dell’Industria Metalmeccanica e della Installazione di Impianti), with classification as Quadro.

The employment contract may be offered as a permanent employment contract (contratto a tempo indeterminato).

The salary range for the position in Italy is € 49.530,00 to € 89.180,00 based on a full‑time schedule at the time of posting. The level assigned and the corresponding remuneration within the salary range indicated above will be determined in accordance with several factors such as, geographical tier, job‑related skills, education and experience that selected candidates bring to the team. For part‑time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.
