Amazon cerca un Operations Manager per la gestione di un team di Area Manager presso uno dei centri operativi in Lazio. Il ruolo richiede guida di team, coordinamento tra funzioni e orientamento all’eccellenza operativa per garantire consegne puntuali e processi sicuri.

La posizione prevede gestione di indicatori chiave, mentoring del personale e collaborazione con HR, finanza e sicurezza per ottimizzare flussi e output.

Competenze

  • Laurea o titolo equivalente richiesto in ambito ingegneristico/logistica/gestione.
  • Esperienza rilevante nella gestione di persone e stakeholder.
  • Ottima capacità di comunicazione scritta e orale in inglese e italiano.
  • Esperienza in produzione e supply chain in contesti logistici veloci.
  • Disponibilità a lavorare in orari variabili e a trasferimenti se necessario.

Operations is the beating heart of Amazon.

This key part of our business makes sure we fulfil and dispatch orders efficiently so that our customers get their items on time.

It’s driven by Operations Managers who bring the team together to push excellence in safety, quality and productivity across our sites.

At your site, you’ll lead other managers and create the operational plan that helps your teams meet their targets.

This role is all about driving operational excellence to create the Amazon of tomorrow.

The applicable collective agreement (CCNL) for this role is Logistica, Trasporto Merci e Spedizione.

The position is classified at livello Quadro or above, depending on the candidate’s skills, competences and experience.

Key job responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of Area Managers
  • Lead operational teams on a shift, deal with issues, and positively impact site performance
  • Analyse shift performance against relevant business objectives, and put in place actions to improve our operational excellence
  • Work closely with other support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security
  • Design and deliver initiatives across the sites to improve operational performance
A day in the life

You’ll lead shifts at one of our operational sites.

You’ll also be the key link between a number of teams, including finance, safety and operations integration teams.

That means you’ll be close to the day‑to‑day operations at your site but also contribute to new ways to innovate at your site.

A typical day will involve meetings with different areas of the business, deep diving into performance and risk metrics for sites, and looking ahead to prepare for different levels of demand.

Every day will also involve mentoring and coaching your team.

You’ll be a source of leadership and support your team to be the best managers they can be.

Customer Fulfilment, or CF, is where it all started for Amazon.

CF has scaled up from a humble team of booksellers to a sophisticated global team which handles more than 1.5 million orders every day.

The CF team are the first people in the chain that helps customers get products at the speed we’re known for.

We’re based in Fulfilment Centres, which are at the heart of Amazon’s fast‑paced Operations network.

Our centres are sometimes referred to as the ‘First Mile’ because it’s where most Amazon packages start their journey.

We help to manage dynamic inventory and facilitate speedy deliveries round the clock.

Lots of different people work in our Fulfilment Centres, so there are plenty of opportunities for every skillset.

Some of us work with physical products, while others analyse data to help everyone across the business make smart decisions.

Basic qualifications
  • A degree- Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and intermediate proficiency in the local language
  • Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
  • Relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains-
  • Possess a degree from an accredited institution,-
  • Previous experience in leading large, diverse teams,-
  • You possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,-
  • You’re competent in two or more production or supply chain areas, with an impressive track record in a similar, fast‑paced logistics, distribution or manufacturing environment,-
  • You possess the ability to manage details, establish and carry out root cause analysis, and then extract and analyse the data you generate,-
  • You thrive on change, and are willing to relocate if necessary-
  • You have excellent written and spoken English and Italian-
  • Work shifts, including weekends, in an operational 7/365 environment.
Preferred qualification
  • Preferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon.
  • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen techniques
  • Experience in a similar logistical working environment
  • Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
  • Ideally degree qualified in Engineering or a Supply Chain/Logistics/ Manufacturing related discipline or MBA graduate.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies would be highly advantageous.

The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full‑time basis.

For part‑time hours, the salary will be pro‑rated.

Amazon’s package may include a sign on payment.

In addition, the candidate may be eligible to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Inc.
