The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in engineering and supervisory experience in maintenance, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector. About The Role

Provides day‑to‑day direction to maintenance employees and contractors, ensuring the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of plant and production equipment, infrastructure, and utilities. Ensures compliance with corporate policies, plant SOPs, cGMP regulations, and FDA regulations. Leads a team within a production environment, promoting a safe and compliant workplace, and improving team performance towards maintenance targets.

Role Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Schedule, plan, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance work.
  • Troubleshooting: Lead troubleshooting activities and provide guidance to technicians on the shop floor.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate and supervise vendor support for maintenance and projects.
  • Procurement and Documentation: Generate requisitions, ensure compliance with procurement guidelines, and maintain operational documentation.
  • Project and Process Support: Support capital projects, validation activities, and recommend improvements in methods, procedures, processes, equipment, and layout.
  • Team Leadership: Provide full leadership for the maintenance team, promoting a safe environment, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety procedures for the shop floor.
  • Performance Management: Set expectations, provide feedback, coach team members, and manage disciplinary actions and employee relations procedures with a focus on the shop floor.
  • Maintenance KPIs and Cost Minimization: Responsible for site Maintenance KPIs and initiate plans to minimize manufacturing costs, problem solving to address mechanical downtime issues, set target conditions, and improve equipment performance on the shop floor.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical)
  • 3 to 5 years maintenance experience required.
  • 1 to 3 years supervisory experience.
  • Prefer 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Computer knowledge (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Understanding of Root Cause Analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to lead teams through change and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Computer Maintenance Management System knowledge (CMMS – e.g. SAP).
