OPERATIONS DIRECTOR – MULTI-SITE PHARMACEUTICAL MANUFACTURING

📍 Italy & Abroad | Pharmaceutical Industry

Pharma Point is currently seeking an Operations Director for a leading international pharmaceutical company, undergoing an important phase of industrial growth and transformation.

Reporting directly to the General Management, the selected professional will be responsible for overseeing operations across multiple manufacturing sites in Italy and abroad, ensuring efficiency, compliance with GMP standards, and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.

Main responsibilities

• Define and implement the overall industrial and operational strategy across all manufacturing sites;
• Supervise production, maintenance, and supply chain activities, ensuring performance, quality, and business continuity;
• Lead and coordinate Plant Managers and site leadership teams, fostering integration and cross-site collaboration;
• Drive continuous improvement, digital transformation, and investment projects to support industrial excellence;
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, quality, and safety standards (GMP, HSE).

Ideal profile

• Degree in scientific or engineering disciplines (CTF, Chemistry, Engineering or equivalent);
• Proven experience in Operations or Plant Management roles within the pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated industry;
• Strong strategic mindset, structured leadership, and the ability to manage complex, multi-site organizations;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (Italian and / or other European languages are a plus).

Location: Italy, with frequent travel across national and international manufacturing sites.
