We are looking for a vigilant O&M Engineer to be based on‑site in Loreo, Italy. Join our dynamic Operations & Maintenance team who have over 75 MW of photovoltaic power, including a battery energy storage system. Your contribution to the energy transition

As our O&M Site Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for managing all maintenance and operations activities of the 42 MWp Sardinia PV plant, including part of the MV substation.

• Manage all site activities in line with contractual requirements, company policies, procedures, legal framework and best industry practice
• Be responsible for the implementation of JUWI’s HSE policies and procedures
• Manage O&M site team (subcontracted)
• Liaise with Owner’s representative and Owner’s Engineer on site and during their site visits
• Liaise with local authorities and stakeholders as needed
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance, regarding time, cost and quality
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement of supplies, tools, and parts locally
• Investigate and analyse technical, HSE, or other incidents on site and implement preventive measures
• Perform regular inspections in the PV plant and the MV substation
• Draft all reports (regular and ad‑hoc) as per contractual and internal requirements
• Perform stand‑by during weekends and public holidays (based on a roster)
• Contribute to maintenance activities in other nearby PV plants, if needed

Your energy is required

• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree / bachelor / diploma of technical institute
• At least 5 years’ experience in the construction and/or maintenance of PV plants or other power plants
• Working experience of MV/LV substations, including transformers, switchgear, relays, etc.
• Experience in the construction, commissioning or O&M of utility‑scale PV plants (plus)
• Experience working with central PV inverters (plus)
• Good knowledge of HSE procedures and regulations
• Very good IT skills, especially MS Excel
• Ability to remain in control and perform effectively under pressure
• Ability to work under limited supervision
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent team‑leading and people‑management skills
• Good administrative and reporting skills
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• Physically fit and able to work in extreme weather conditions
• Willing to work during weekends and public holidays, if needed
• Valid driver’s license
• Applicant must be a resident of Loreo or willing to relocate there
