RINA is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our Rome office within the Operating Engine division. You will design, deploy and maintain secure enterprise networks, focusing on FortiGate firewalls and Cisco switching infrastructure to ensure resilient connectivity.

The role requires hands-on experience, strong collaboration with infrastructure and security teams, and fluency in Italian and English. A competitive package and career growth await in a multinational environment.

Competenze

• Solid experience in network security engineering and infrastructure administration.
• Hands-on knowledge of FortiGate firewalls and Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching environments.
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, segmentation, VPN, and firewall policy management.
• Experience in troubleshooting, hardening, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructures.
• Familiarity with network monitoring, logging, and traffic analysis.
• Scripting or automation skills are a plus.
• Fortinet and Cisco certifications are preferred.
• Italian and English language proficiency required.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures using FortiGate firewalls and Cisco infrastructure.
• Configure and optimize routing, switching, firewall policies, VPN connectivity, and network access controls.
• Support integration of network components in on-premises and hybrid environments.
• Review and validate network configurations, access policies, ACLs, and firewall rules.
• Resolve connectivity, performance, and policy enforcement issues in complex networks.
• Identify and correct misconfigurations and exposure points; support patch management and lifecycle maintenance.
• Maintain consistent configuration standards across routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Produce clear documentation on network risks, configurations and remediation actions.
• Collaborate with infra, security and operations teams to enhance resilience.
