About The Role

Job Purpose

  • The role of a Manufacturing Network Expert at Bridgestone involves designing, building, overseeing, and managing the implementation of networks and network projects to meet the needs of manufacturing facilities in the EMEA region.
  • You will be responsible for leading a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support and conducting performance evaluations.
  • You will work closely with other IT/OT teams, such as plant digital teams, infrastructure and network team, application managers, Global Infrastructure and Modern Workplace, Information Security Office, to ensure the best network practices and standards.
  • You will drive continuous improvement initiatives by staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
  • Network Operations: Review and optimize security measures, monitor network performance, and identify areas of improvement.
  • Reliability and Efficiency: Ensure network reliability, security, and efficiency in a cost-conscious way.
  • Network Architecture: Define network architecture (LAN, WLAN, firewalls, and load‑balancers), standards, and best practices to be implemented across the plants.
  • Compliance: Assess manufacturing solutions implementations by the plants in line with the architecture and the security standards and policies.
  • Roadmaps and Budget: Lead delivery of roadmaps and budget guidelines for network‑related projects and initiatives across the plant.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Drive knowledge‑sharing activities via communities of practice (CoP).
  • Program and Standards Management: Manage network lifecycle and Reference Architecture projects.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors and service providers services, support and procurement.
Qualifications & Experience Required
Education, Master, other certification
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Sciences or Telecommunication Engineering.
  • Cisco Certified Professional (CCNP or equivalent).
  • Fortinet NSE4 Certification.
  • Cybersecurity certifications like ISA‑62443 will be valued.
Experience (years)
  • +5 years of professional IT experience in network administrator role and team leadership.
Technical Skills
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Network technologies.
  • Working experience of Infrastructure (Datacenter and Cloud). Azure certification not required but it’s a plus.
Languages Skills
  • Professional working proficiency in English required.
  • Knowledge of other European languages as Spanish, Italian, Polish or Hungarian is an asset.
Soft/Behavioral Skills
  • Ability to influence and motivate teammates and other internal or external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary to communicate to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with other IT teams and external partners.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting & problem resolution.
  • Customer focus with special attention service operations and SLAs.
