A leading engineering firm in Milan is looking for a Naval Architect to join their Asset Based Services team. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree and up to 2 years of experience in naval engineering. Responsibilities include developing technical knowledge, improving efficiency, and applying technical skills to project execution. Candidates should possess knowledge in vessel hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, and various engineering techniques. Some travel may be required within EMEA and beyond.

Purpose of the position

As Naval Architect you will be part of the TLINSTAL1 Department, Fano Offshore Engineering Hub, in the business line Asset Based Services (no Drilling).

How can you support us?

• Develop with the Naval Architect Lead the specialistic knowledge of main Naval Engineer competences such as vessel Hydrostatic, Stability, Hydrodynamic, Dynamic Positioning System, Mooring, Engineering analysis for Offshore installation
• Apply and improve technical skills, expertise, knowledge, procedures and tools as required for proposals and project execution
• Improve quality and efficiency in naval engineering activity

What are we looking for?

Education: Master's Degree

Years of Experience: 0 - 2

Technical Knowledge

• Vessel Hydrostatic and Stability
• Hydrodynamic
• Mooring (temporary and permanent installation)
• Structural static and dynamic engineering
• Ship resistance, propulsion and Dynamic Positioning (DP) System
• Installation analysis of Subsea Pipeline in S-lay, Floatover and Lifting
• Knowledge of the more common numerical techniques and software used in Naval engineering, such as FEM Techniques, Panel model based numerical, CFD etc.

What else should you know?

Some travelling will be expected within EMEA, Africa, Worldwide, etc.
