Veolia Water Technologies is seeking an experienced and driven Municipal Water Technologies Sales Manager to contribute to the growth and development of our EPP (Engineering Procurement and Project) T&P (Technologies & Products) and MWIS (Mobile Water Integrated Service) business lines in Italy's municipal sector. In this role you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new municipal business opportunities, building strong relationships with municipal clients and engineering firms, promoting the added value of our technologies portfolio and delivering tailored technology solutions to meet their water and wastewater treatment needs. You will embody Veolia’s 5 values of Responsibility, Solidarity, Respect, Innovation and Customer Focus in your daily work while promoting the company’s technology portfolio and commitment to sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a sales strategy to expand Veolia WTs EPP T&P and MWIS business lines in the Italian municipal market focusing on new municipal customer acquisition and cross‑selling opportunities within the existing municipal customer base.

Identify and pursue new municipal business opportunities by building strong relationships with municipal authorities, utilities and decision‑makers, understanding their water treatment needs and proposing tailored technology solutions from Veolia’s portfolio that highlight sustainable practices (Customer Focus, Innovation).

Build strong relationships with key engineering companies, promoting the added value of our technologies and establishing strategic partnerships to enhance market penetration and technology adoption in municipal projects (Solidarity, Innovation).

Collaborate closely with the engineering technology development and project management teams to ensure seamless delivery of EPP offerings and maintain high levels of municipal customer satisfaction (Solidarity).

Develop a deep understanding of the Italian municipal water and wastewater treatment market, regulatory requirements and competitive technology landscape to position Veolia WT as a leading technology provider (Innovation).

Achieve ambitious EPP sales targets and contribute to the overall revenue goals of the municipal technology business (Responsibility).

Represent Veolia WT at municipal conferences, industry events and trade shows, promoting the company’s technology capabilities, sustainability initiatives and strengthening its brand presence in the Italian municipal market (Respect).

Collaborate closely with the European Municipal Sales Leader as Italy’s municipal growth strategy must be aligned and take benefits from European‑wide practices and technology deployment strategies.

Leverage synergies within the wider Veolia group to offer comprehensive municipal technology solutions and promote cross‑selling opportunities to municipal customers (Solidarity, Customer Focus).

Ensure compliance with all relevant municipal regulations, company policies and industry best practices (Responsibility).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferably in Environmental, Chemical or Civil Engineering; advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and business development preferably in municipal water treatment technologies or environmental engineering solutions.

Proven track record of successfully achieving EPP sales targets and contributing to technology business growth in municipal markets.

Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to municipal authorities and diverse stakeholders (Respect).

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify municipal opportunities and develop strategic technology solutions (Innovation).

Proficient in Italian and English, both written and spoken.

Willingness to travel extensively within Italy to municipal sites and facilities.

Strong customer service orientation and a commitment to delivering exceptional value to municipal clients (Customer Focus).

Knowledge of the Italian municipal water and wastewater treatment market, municipal regulations, industry trends and sustainability practices is highly desirable.

Familiarity with Veolia’s technology portfolio and EPP capabilities across the group (Solidarity).

Understanding of municipal procurement processes and public sector sales cycles.
