Software Team is a small-sized software house based in Milan, Italy, part of the Nihon Kohden Corporation, one of the leading global companies in the field of medical devices, based in Japan. Software Team is the Nihon Kohden research and development department for Europe, focused on design, production, and maintenance of Software as Medical Device. The company also provides after-sales technical support. Our goal is to improve healthcare with advanced technology. For more than 70 years, Nihon Kohden has offered a wide range of medical electronic devices. SmartLink, the most important product of Software Team, is a Distributed Alarm System, with installations in hospitals all over Europe.

For our Research and Development team based in Milan, Italy we are looking for a

Mobile Software Developer

Responsibilities
  • Design, development, and maintenance of mobile applications (Android / iOS) and desktop clients for Windows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UI/UX, backend, QA) to ensure a smooth and high-performance user experience.
  • Actively contribute to the definition of technical and functional requirements.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and tested code.
  • Debug and optimize application performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement of development processes.
  • Developing iOS applications using Swift and Xcode.
  • Building desktop clients for Windows using technologies such as Delphi 13
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (minimum B2 level).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in:
    • Developing Android applications using Android Studio, Android NDK or Java.
    • Developing iOS applications using Swift and Xcode.
    • Building desktop clients for Windows using technologies such as Delphi 13
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (minimum B2 level).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in medical software or regulated environments.
  • You’re living in Greater Milan area and/or willing to relocate to Milan area
  • Knowledge of communication protocols (REST, WebSocket, Bluetooth).
  • Experience with automated testing tools (Appium, Selenium, etc.).
  • Agile – SCRUM practitioner.
