Everware Consulting GmbH is seeking an experienced Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect & Data Engineer to join our international team in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment. You will design, implement and manage scalable cloud solutions and modern data platforms using Azure services including ADF, Synapse, and SQL.

You will ensure high availability, DR, performance optimization, and cost efficiency while building robust data pipelines and governance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud architectures.
• Hands-on experience designing Azure-based data platforms and services.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, lakehouse concepts, SQL and data modelling.
• Experience with batch and real-time data processing and integration patterns.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Python and/or SQL scripting.
• Experience with cloud monitoring and observability tools.
• Fluency in English; Italian is a must.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect & Data Engineer to join an international organisation operating in a highly dynamic and innovation-driven environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture and data engineering, who can design, implement and manage scalable cloud solutions and modern data platforms.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and optimising cloud infrastructure, data integration architectures and enterprise data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage scalable cloud architectures and integration solutions on Microsoft Azure.

• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, performance optimisation and cost efficiency across cloud environments.

• Evaluate, select and implement appropriate Azure services to meet business and technical requirements.

• Support cloud migration, transformation and modernisation initiatives.

• Design, develop and maintain modern Azure data platforms, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL.

• Build and manage reliable batch and real-time data pipelines.

• Implement data quality, security and governance standards.

• Monitor cloud and data platform performance, ensuring reliability and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience working with Microsoft Azure.

• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure architecture, services and cloud solutions.

• Proven experience as a Cloud Data Engineer.

• Solid understanding of data warehousing, Lakehouse architectures, SQL and data modelling.

• Practical experience with batch and real-time data processing and integration patterns.

• Scripting experience using PowerShell, Python and/or SQL.

• Experience with cloud monitoring, performance management and observability tools.

• Fluency in English; Italian is a must.

Nice to Have

• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or Azure Data Engineer certifications.

• Experience working with hybrid cloud environments.

• Knowledge of Business Intelligence solutions, particularly Power BI and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
