Job Location: Alba (CN)
Overview

As a Microbiology Laboratory PMO Maternity Leave Substitution, you will join the Ferrero Group and you will support the management and coordination of analytical projects within the Group, contributing to the development of methodologies and ensuring activities are carried out on time and according to objectives. You will collaborate closely with internal laboratories, external partners, and suppliers, helping to maintain alignment and ensuring the high-quality standards that define Ferrero’s operations. This opportunity will allow you to apply your scientific background in a dynamic, international environment, gaining valuable experience in project management and laboratory coordination.

Responsibilities
  • You will support the planning and execution of projects aimed at improving analytical methodologies within Ferrero Group Laboratories. This includes preparing project documentation, monitoring progress, and assisting with reporting activities.
  • You will help ensure compliance with quality standards and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
  • You will assist in conducting audits in internal and external laboratories, contribute to defining corrective actions, and help track the performance of external partners.
  • You will also provide technical support to laboratories, helping them implement analytical methods, manage data, and interpret results.
  • You will take part in training and technical support activities for laboratory staff, collaborating with senior colleagues to organize and deliver learning sessions.
  • In this role, you will regularly interact with Group laboratories, suppliers, and other functions to ensure effective coordination and communication.
  • Occasional travel to Ferrero sites may be required for audits, training, or support activities.
Qualifications
  • You bring a degree in biology, microbiology or another scientific discipline, with some experience or strong interest in analytical or laboratory environments — ideally within the food or pharmaceutical sector.
  • You are familiar with basic analytical or microbiological techniques (such as ELISA or molecular biology methods) and have good data management skills using Excel.
  • You are fluent in English and Italian and comfortable communicating in an international context.
  • You are organized, curious, and eager to learn, with an ability to plan activities and follow up on multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with ISO 17025 standards, SAP, or LIMS systems is an advantage, though not essential.
  • You bring enthusiasm, flexibility, and a collaborative approach, and you are ready to grow your skills in both technical and project coordination areas during this maternity leave assignment.
