Il MIT Lincoln Laboratory cerca un Medical Imaging AI Developer per guidare lo sviluppo di tecnologie mediche avanzate, dedicandosi all’elaborazione delle immagini, al deep learning e all’analisi dati. Il ruolo prevede collaborazione con ingegneri, scienziati e clinicians per prototipi AI destinati a contesti difesa e sanità, con opportunità di pubblicazioni e reportistica tecnica.

Competenze

• Laurea specialistica in ingegneria biomedica, ingegneria elettrica, informatica o titolo equipollente; candidati con laurea triennale e >=5 anni di esperienza rilevante
• Competenza avanzata nello sviluppo e nell’implementazione di modelli di deep learning su sistemi operativi
• Esperienza in elaborazione di segnali biologici e immagini biomedicali
• Abilità nello sviluppo di algoritmi (Python, MATLAB) per l’estrazione e l’analisi di dataset biomedici
• Capacità di produrre report di progetto chiari e pubblicazioni tecniche/scientifiche

Mansioni

• Applicare tecniche di elaborazione di segnali e immagini per sviluppare prototipi di sistemi AI medicali
• Lavorare con team multidisciplinari di ingegneri, ricercatori e clinici per progettare e valutare dispositivi di imaging medico

The Human Health & Performance Systems Group develops human-centered technologies to overcome operational challenges and to enhance human capability in domains of interest to national security. Our research programs focus on innovative and objective solutions in the areas of integrated wearable systems, human-machine teaming, enhanced communications, neurocognitive analytics, and medical technologies. Our group is highly interdisciplinary and includes scientific experts in physiology, cognitive science, neuroscience, psychology, biomechanics, computer science, engineering, and physics. Our core technical competencies include system-level modeling and gap analysis, advanced sensing and signal processing, machine learning and artificial intelligence, computational modeling, hardware and software prototyping, model-based systems engineering, and human data collection in laboratory and field environments.

Job Description

Our team is dedicated to developing advanced medical technologies to address critical defense and civilian medical challenges, with a particular focus on improving austere and battlefield medicine. As part of our mission, we aim to create impactful solutions that enhance medical care in resource‑limited and high‑stakes environments, ultimately saving lives and improving outcomes. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in advancing this mission by applying cutting‑edge signal/image processing, deep learning, and data analysis techniques to develop AI‑enabled system prototypes. You will collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, and clinicians to design and evaluate innovative medical imaging devices and human performance technologies. This position offers the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that push the boundaries of medical technology, contributing to solutions that address some of the most pressing challenges in defense and civilian healthcare.

Requirements

• M.S. in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant degree. Applicants with a B.S. and 5 or more years of relevant industry or research experience will also be considered.


• Strong technical expertise in both the theory and practical applications of deep learning model development and deployment on operational systems


• Expertise in biomedical signal and image processing


• Proficiency in algorithm development (Python, MATLAB) for extraction, conditioning, and exploration of biomedical datasets


• Ability to produce clear, concise, and professional project reports, as well as contributions to technical and scientific publications

Preferences:

• Experience in software development and deployment on edge platforms


• Familiarity with medical ultrasound systems

Recent Graduate Hiring Range:$116,400 - $140,000

Experienced Hiring Range: $116,400 - $182,200
