Applied Materials Europe is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support the Manufacturing Engineering Department at the European Repair Center in Fagarè - Bocca di Callalta (TV). This six-month program offers hands-on experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment, developing technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills alongside senior engineers.

You will assist in process documentation, data analysis, and cross-functional improvement initiatives, gaining exposure to CAD tools

Competenze

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, or similar) is a plus.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken.

General Profile

The Mechanical Engineering Intern will support the Manufacturing Engineering Department in the daily production and engineering activities at the European Repair Center (ERC) of Applied Materials based in Fagarè - Bocca di Callalta in the municipality of San Biagio di Callalta (TV).

This internship provides an opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands‑on experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment while developing technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Working closely with experienced engineers and technicians, the intern will contribute to process improvement initiatives, production process support, and manufacturing documentation activities, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams such as Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain.

Technical Skills
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, or similar) is a plus.
  • Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Fluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in progress or recently completed in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Previous academic project, or laboratory experience is a plus.
  • Interest in manufacturing, operations, and continuous improvement.
  • Proactive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
