Mechanical Engineer – Aerospace & Defence Division

RINA is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join its office in Pomezia or Bolzano within the Aerospace & Defence Division.

Mission

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for advanced engineering projects across multiple sectors, including defense, aerospace, and industrial applications. The selected candidate will ensure compliance with technical standards, best practices, and company processes.

Key Accountabilities
  • Design and develop mechanical assemblies and components from concept to production.
  • Apply knowledge of materials technologies and manufacturing processes to ensure performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards and internal quality processes.
  • Support configuration and change management activities when required.
Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
  • Experience in mechanical design of complex assemblies.
  • Proficiency in PTC CREO and/or CATIA V5 (preferred). Familiarity with other CAD tools such as Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.
  • Knowledge of PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter, etc.) and BOM management.
  • Understanding of technical drawing standards (UNI-ISO, ASME).
  • Ability to work in compliance with Model-Based Definition (MBD) and STD processes.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
