EFI is seeking a Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineer to join our engineering team in Bergamo (Comun Nuovo), Italy. You will be part of the manufacturing technical office, driving design improvements and multidisciplinary collaboration on new and existing products in the textile-printing sector.

The role covers prototype development, testing, cost analysis, risk assessment, and coordination with suppliers and internal teams to ensure performance, reliability and manufacturability.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and technical office.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design and calculations for complex assemblies.
• Prototype development, testing, validation.
• Translate concepts into 3D models and drawings; Creo Elements/Direct preferred.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across functions.
• Fluent in Italian and English.

EFI is looking for a Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineer to join our engineering team in Italy, Bergamo (Comun Nuovo). As Mechanical Engineer you will be part of the manufactoring technical office team, working in a multidisciplinary environment to manage new products within the textile-printing industry.
Key Responsibilities

• Drive design improvements across the existing product portfolio.
• Collaborate closely within a multidisciplinary R&D Engineering team.
• Lead mechanical engineering activities across multiple projects, including cost analysis, technical specifications, risk assessment, and validation testing requirements.
• Partner with Supply Chain to identify cost reduction opportunities through alternative materials, suppliers, and manufacturing processes.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Test Engineering teams to ensure the performance, reliability, and manufacturability of product components.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within a technical office, engineering, or product development function.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, product construction methods, and engineering calculations for complex assemblies and systems.
• Experience in prototype development, testing, validation, and coordination of prototype build activities.
• Ability to create engineering concepts and design solutions, translating them into detailed 3D models and technical drawings; experience with PTC Creo Elements/Direct is preferred.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive attitude, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions and organizational levels.
• Experience managing relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Broad multidisciplinary technical knowledge is considered an advantage.
• Fluent in both Italian and English, spoken and written.

Preferred Competencies

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials engineering.
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Experience working in cross-functional product development environments.
