We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and results-oriented Marketing & Events Manager to join AI4I – The Italian Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence for Industry.

AI4I performs transformative, application-oriented research in Artificial Intelligence, driving the integration of AI into industrial processes, products, and services across Italy’s manufacturing, aerospace, and automotive sectors.

In this role, you will strengthen AI4I’s commercial positioning and brand awareness among corporates, SMEs, and the broader innovation ecosystem. You will design and execute marketing initiatives, events, and campaigns that showcase AI4I’s expertise and position the Institute as a partner of choice for the adoption of Artificial Intelligence solutions in industry.

Main Responsibilities
  • Marketing
    • Go-to-market and positioning: support the marketing plan for target segments (Corporate, SMEs, startups, individuals), value proposition, messages (use cases).
    • Campaigns and demand generation: support omnichannel campaigns, in coordination with Communication & Media Relations (email, B2B social media, paid/adv, webinars, newsletters, PR).
    • Work closely with the Communication & Media Relations function to ensure consistency of messaging, alignment of communication strategies, and coordination with external agencies (briefings, supervision, budget control, and KPI tracking).
    • Oversee digital campaigns in coordination with Communication & Media Relations, supervising external agencies and monitoring performance of paid and organic channels (social media, newsletters, website, PR).
    • Manage marketing and dissemination activities within Horizon Europe and other consortia projects, ensuring compliance with EU visibility rules and effective engagement of project stakeholders.
  • Events and Initiatives
    • Conceive, organize, and coordinate proprietary events (open days, tech showcases, demo days, short courses) and trade show/conference appearances (stands, speeches, partnerships), including logistics, suppliers, speaker agenda, and commercial follow-up.
    • Oversee the full delivery of events, including venue booking, logistics, catering, technical set-up, and on-site coordination.
    • Plan and manage AI4I internal events (e.g., meetings, team-building activities), ensuring smooth delivery and staff engagement.
    • Provide operational support for AI4I’s internal meetings and high-level encounters (board meetings, partner visits), including logistics, room preparation, catering, and participant coordination.
  • Content & assets: ensure that relevant content and materials (case studies, one-pagers, slides, demo videos, landing pages) are provided by internal stakeholders (R&D, PMO, and others) and coordinated for events and campaigns, translating research into value for the industry.
  • Internal stakeholders: interface with Project Management, R&D, External Communications and commercial units.
  • Vendor management: selection and coordination of agencies, services, and suppliers (graphics, printing, set-up, catering).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communication, Economics/Management or related fields.
  • 4–7 years in marketing and event organization, preferably in the tech/innovation or industrial sector.
  • Experience coordinating with Communication & Media Relations or PR functions, ensuring alignment of messaging and campaign strategies.
  • Ability to design and implement end-to-end events.
  • Hands-on experience in the operational delivery of events, including venue booking, logistics, catering, and supplier coordination.
  • Proven ability to gather and coordinate content contributions from internal stakeholders (e.g., R&D, PMO) for use in marketing assets and events.
  • Experience supporting internal corporate events (team celebrations, institutional meetings, board or partner visits).
  • Strong skills in measuring and reporting marketing campaign performance, including KPIs for digital and event activities.
  • Excellent professional writing skills in Italian and English (at least C1), public speaking, and speaker management.
Preferred Requirements (Nice to Have)
  • Solid digital culture and familiarity with AI/Industry 4.0 topics (understanding industrial use cases and translating them into clear messages). Direct involvement in marketing, communication, or dissemination activities within Horizon Europe or other EU-funded consortia projects.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders (research centers, corporates, associations, universities) to co-develop communication assets and event formats.
  • Organization and precision, management of multiple projects in parallel.
  • Results-oriented and data-driven mindset (test & learn).
  • Creativity in explaining complex industrial cases in a simple and concrete way. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and secure timely content contributions from internal units (e.g., R&D, PMO, Business Development).
  • Operational mindset with attention to detail in event logistics, ensuring high-quality participant and partner experience.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to support both external promotional initiatives and internal institutional events.
  • Capacity to work effectively within EU-funded consortia, ensuring collaboration across diverse international partners.
