A Day in the Life

Our Western European Cardiac Surgery Operating Unit (OU) is on an exciting growth journey. We are expanding our reach, driving innovation across markets, and strengthening our impact in cardiac care. To support this momentum, we are seeking a dynamic Marketing Communication Specialist who will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our communication strategy across the region. This is a temporary assignment (6–9 months) with the opportunity to make a significant impact during a period of transformation and growth.

The Marketing Communication Specialist is responsible for end‑to‑end communication strategy and execution for the Western European Cardiac Surgery OU, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across all physical and digital channels. This role covers 360° communication, including internal and external audiences, digital platforms, events, and media relations. The specialist will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver integrated campaigns that support business objectives and strengthen brand positioning.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans aligned with marketing and business strategies. Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Content Development: Create compelling content for digital, print, events, and social media channels. Manage storytelling initiatives, press releases, newsletters, and internal communications.
  • Digital & Social Media: Oversee social media strategy and execution, including organic and paid campaigns. Optimize website content and SEO performance, usage of CRM tools (e.g. SFDC).
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute omnichannel marketing campaigns. Monitor performance metrics (CTR, engagement, lead generation) and provide actionable insights.
  • Event & PR Coordination: Organize and manage communication around PR events, webinars, and trade shows. Build and maintain relationships with media and key stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure all communications meet regulatory, legal, and brand standards. Collaborate with internal teams (Regulatory, Clinical, Legal, Marketing) for approvals.
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing communications or similar roles.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing ecosystem (SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (other European languages are a plus).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at scale and speed and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools and ability to derive insights from data.
  • Experience in agency management and creative asset development.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation, CRM platforms and project management tools (e.g., Adobe Workfront, Eloqua, SFDC, Lightning).

Experience working with AI tools for marketing communication, along with a PMP certification or comparable project management background, would be considered strong assets and add valuable depth to the role.
