JOB PURPOSE

As part of the Headquarters team of Marchesi 1824, the HR Business Partner Specialist will provide both operational and advisory HR support, ensuring alignment with the Group’s HR guidelines and strategies. Working closely with Management and Central Functions, the role will support the brand’s growth by managing all HR processes, including recruitment, organizational design, training, employee relations, budgeting, and administration. A strong focus will be dedicated to the needs of Marchesi boutiques, supporting all activities related to store personnel and the development of retail teams.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle for both HQ and Retail positions, ensuring high-quality hires aligned with the brand's values and style;
  • Identify and attract top talent from the hospitality, fine dining, and luxury food retail sectors;
  • Collaborate with Communications and Marketing teams to support employer branding initiatives.
Organization & Staffing
  • Work alongside Management to define and optimize internal structures and organizational charts;
  • Support the opening of new boutiques with tailored and timely staffing plans;
  • Continuously monitor staffing needs across stores and propose effective, sustainable solutions.
Training & Development
  • Support the implementation of training programs across HQ and Retail, in line with Group HR guidelines;
  • Foster a culture of feedback, performance, and continuous development within teams.
Budget & Reporting
  • Collect headcount needs and contribute to the HR budget planning process;
  • Monitor labor costs to ensure alignment with budget and forecasts;
  • Provide regular HR reporting to Management and Group Headquarters.
Employee Relations & HR Support
  • Offer daily support to managers on HR-related topics, promoting a positive work environment in line with company values;
  • Handle and resolve employee relations issues, including disciplinary procedures or disputes, in coordination with the HR Director;
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
Administration & HR Systems
  • Supervise accurate data transmission to Payroll functions;
  • Verify consistency and accuracy of employee data in Group HRIS systems (e.g. SAP);
  • Contribute to the rollout of new digital HR tools and process improvements.
Knowledge and Skills
  • University degree in Human Resources, Law, Economics or related fields;
  • 5-7 years of experience in HR roles, preferably within retail, hospitality, or luxury food environments;
  • Solid knowledge of HR processes (recruitment, organization, administration, employee relations);
  • Familiarity with HR management systems (preferably SAP);
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Flexibility, proactivity, and strong attention to detail;
  • Team-oriented mindset with problem-solving attitude;
  • Passion for pastry, luxury, and Italian excellence.
