The role involves leading a major Change Management initiative and implementing World Class Manufacturing principles. STM Valtus is currently seeking, for a strategic project with one of its clients in the mechanical sector, an Interim Manufacturing Manager for a 6–12 month assignment.

The Manager will report directly to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for leading a major Change Management initiative within the production site located near Udine.

Objective:

To support the transformation of the plant’s organizational culture and operational practices, aligning them with modern standards of efficiency, responsibility, and involvement, in line with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles.

Main Responsibilities:

• Act as a coach and strategic partner to the Plant Manager during a critical phase of organizational change.
• Lead the implementation of WCM and Lean Manufacturing principles across the shopfloor.
• Establish a daily management system and a structured production control process.
• Build and empower management teams, fostering leadership and accountability.
• Develop and execute an operational plan with clear objectives, actions, and timelines (GANTT), formalized through weekly activity reports.
• Drive improvements in productivity, quality, safety, and operational excellence.

Required Profile:

• Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as Plant Manager, Operations or Manufacturing Manager in complex environments.
• Strong background in Change Management, Lean Manufacturing, and Operational Excellence.
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills with a hands-on approach.
• Ability to motivate and engage teams, fostering a culture of responsibility and continuous improvement.
• International mindset and ability to transfer new working methods effectively.
• Fluent English
