Manual Lathe and Milling Machine Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Technician with experience in manual turning and milling operations, capable of expertly operating conventional machine tools.

This professional will play a key role in the production of high-precision metal components, working closely with the engineering team to ensure that finished products meet technical specifications and customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a hands-on, craftsmanship-oriented approach, supported by in-depth knowledge of materials and the ability to perform highly accurate measurements. They will be responsible for manufacturing, modifying, and repairing components, actively contributing to the improvement of production processes and final product quality.

Qualifications

Set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines to manufacture precision components according to the technical specifications provided.

Perform complex machining operations, including turning, facing, threading, boring, and gear cutting, without the use of automated programming.

Read and interpret technical and mechanical drawings to plan machining sequences, ensuring maximum precision and compliance with tolerances.

Collaborate with the engineering team to identify opportunities for improving machining processes and product quality.

Maintain a safe and organized working environment, complying with occupational health and safety regulations.

Technical Skills:

Excellent knowledge of conventional machine tools and manual machining techniques.

Ability to perform precise measurements using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools.

Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings and mechanical diagrams.

Additional Requirements:

• More than 3 years of professional experience in technical drawing.


• Authorization to work in Italy.
