Vertiv seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Piove di Sacco, Italy, to lead technical capabilities for Thermal manufacturing, drive NPIs, productivity programs, and CAPEX. You will partner with Engineering, Operations and Procurement to hit assembly/test targets and ensure robust production documentation.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and strong English, with CAD/PLM/ERP expertise and a track record in cost reduction and Manufacturing Excellence.

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join and drive our dynamic team in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy!

The role provides technical leadership and manufacturing support to the Tognana Thermal Center of Excellence Site, focusing on new product introduction (NPI), productivity programs and strategic projects. It is responsible for defining and improving assembly and testing processes, supporting Operational Excellence initiatives, and ensuring manufacturing cost targets are achieved in collaboration with Engineering, Operations and Procurement. The role also supports CAPEX investments, production changes and technical issue resolution, develops manufacturing methods and procedures, ensures the required production documentation is available, and conducts Make vs Buy analyses.

What kind of work will you be doing?

• Provides all technical capabilities to Thermal manufacturing sites in order to execute NPI, productivity programs and other strategic projects for BUs, hence being the technical leadership for product manufacturing across EMEA SG & BB & IS plants.
• Defines processes for product assembly and test.
• Works together with Engineering (R&D), Site Operations Managers & Procurement to ensure manufacturing target cost for products are met.
• Supports the implementation of Operations Excellence projects across BUs in production.
• Responsibility for CAPEX investment to meet company production targets.
• Works on specific tasks assigned by EMEA AME Director.
• Creates assembly procedures for new products & existing products to achieve improvements.
• Supports production in managing changes for improvement.
• Ensuring the availability of specific documentation required for pre-series & special & standard production.
• Identifies ways to reduce production costs and resolves technical issues in manufacturing.
• Development, evaluation, and improvement of manufacturing methods.
• Make vs BUY analysis.

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Language skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English with knowledge of the main technical language/words used in the relevant product application business.

The anticipated salary range for this role in Italy is between 78.000€ to 95.000€ gross per year (based on a full-time working week). Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation and benefits. Where applicable, a comprehensive overview of the full benefits package and any additional compensation will be provided during the recruitment process in accordance with local legal requirements. Compensation is determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including skills, experience, and job responsibilities.

The applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL) for this role is Metalmeccanico Industria.
