Responsibilities
- Own and steward data assets to ensure they are FAIR, trusted, and widely used.
- Bridge the gap between business needs and technical capabilities by translating requirements into data blueprints in collaboration with Data Design Leaders.
- Define, implement, and monitor data quality rules and thresholds to drive continuous improvement.
- Support the technical deployment and adoption of data assets within the organization.
- Oversee data asset lifecycle management — from design and development through maintenance and retirement.
- Maintain and enhance business metadata and catalog entries to improve data discoverability and understanding.
- Ensure accurate data lineage from source to consumption.
- Promote effective use of existing data structures to generate insights and enable business excellence.
- Drive the rationalization of data assets, APIs, and review policies to optimize value creation.
Education
- A bachelor’s or higher degree is required.
- Preferred: focused degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related field.
Qualifications
- At least five (5) years of work experience.
- Data management expertise (deep knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and metadata management principles).
- Technical proficiency with data management tools and technologies (Data catalog, data lakehouse, etc.).
- Deep knowledge of supply chain operations, including understanding processes, rules, and data requirements.
- Experience driving business value with data capabilities.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and proven ability to translate business requirements into data models.
- Experience managing projects and initiatives related to data asset stewardship and lifecycle management.
Preferred
- Experience in the Pharmaceuticals and/or Healthcare industries.
- Strong background in supply chain data (e.g., SAP S/4).
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data (e.g., GxP, HIPAA, SOX).
- Capacity to align data initiatives with organizational goals and drive data‑driven decision making.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and emerging technologies in the data landscape.
- Demonstrates analytics skills and strategic thinking.
- Leading with purpose and sense of urgency.
