Maintenance Operator

Responsibilities
  • Supervise preventive and predictive maintenance tasks as prescribed by OEM manuals and engineering specifications, limiting time‑limited parts changes and keeping equipment in proper working order.
  • Drive day‑by‑day maintenance activities carried by contractors related to workshop equipment.
  • Analyze and maintain machinery and equipment at the Massa workshop.
  • Make critical decisions in a timely manner and meet safety and quality requirements for major assets such as CN working machine, CN milling machine, CN vertical lathe, bending machine, automatic horizontal balancing machine, and automatic tipples.
  • Manage work orders with a computer maintenance management system, report findings throughout root analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Follow up preventive maintenance and troubleshoot various types of machinery requiring technical knowledge.
  • Work closely with the manager in the assigned area, providing weekly metrics on performance, schedules on critical repairs, and daily updates on critical equipment.
  • Handle predictive maintenance with remote acquisition and management of field signals to extend equipment life and warn of failures concerning HSE.
  • Act as the reference point of contact with equipment OEMs and parts vendors.
  • Supervise repair, assembly, and installation of electrical system components.
  • Coordinate inspections on industrial working machines and relevant equipment.
  • Participate in safety initiatives with the HSE team.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders in reviewing machines, preparing maintenance schedules, and determining spare parts levels.
  • Work with drawings, schematics, datasheets, and P&I.
  • Liaise with OEMs, contractors, and external vendors on equipment repair.
  • Analyze and diagnose causes of malfunctions, failures, and repetitive problems, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
  • Prefer basic knowledge of Maximo software.
  • Guarantee compliance with regulations and continuous HSE improvement.
  • li>Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs.
Qualifications
  • Degree in a technical field from an accredited university (Electrical / Mechanical Engineering) or a high‑school diploma (Mechatronics Diploma).
  • Good knowledge of IT tools.
  • Attitude toward teamwork.
  • Self‑starter.
