Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. in Pisa (Italy) seeks a maintenance engineer with a focus on sterile filling lines and isolator technology to support production equipment, troubleshoot issues and ensure GMP compliance.

You will collaborate with Process Engineering, manage spare parts, and drive continuous improvement, working across Quality, EHS, Automation and external suppliers. Requires a relevant engineering degree and 2–4 years of experience; fluent English.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial/Automation or pharmaceutical).
• 2–4 years of relevant professional experience in pharmaceutical process engineering, maintenance engineering, equipment engineering or technical support.
• Experience with sterile filling equipment and isolator technology preferred.
• Fluent in English.
• Structured troubleshooting and field-oriented problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage simultaneous activities, competing priorities, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provides maintenance engineering support for sterile production equipment, focusing on filling lines, isolator tech, vial washers, depyrogenation tunnels, stopper processors, autoclaves.
• Interfaces between Maintenance and Process Engineering to improve equipment reliability and compliance with GMP and EHS.
• Supports troubleshooting, RCA, CAPA and continuous improvement in line with EHS, cGMP, Quality and Data Integrity requirements.
• Coordinates and supervises suppliers and contractors for maintenance activities and improvements.
• Promotes safety culture and maintains documentation and spare-parts management for assigned equipment.
