EssilorLuxottica in Sedico, Veneto invites applications for a Maintenance Engineer Internship. You will support preventative and predictive maintenance, assess equipment health, and contribute to safety and compliance.

You’ll perform RCA, lifecycle decisions, and assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment.

This internship provides hands-on experience in a global eyewear manufacturing environment with exposure to regulatory standards and continuous improvement practices.

Competenze

• Data analysis, problem solving, lean techniques, proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Good working knowledge of English (read, write, speak).

• Preventative/Predictive Maintenance (PM/PdM): design and refine maintenance schedules to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): lead investigations into equipment failures and implement permanent technical solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Life Cycle Management: evaluate the health of machinery and provide recommendations for overhauls, upgrades, or replacements.
• Troubleshooting skills: support for maintenance technicians on complex electrical, mechanical, or automation (PLC) issues.
• Project Management: oversee capital projects (CAPEX), including the installation and commissioning of new equipment.

• SOPs: Write and update technical manuals and safety protocols.
• Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all machinery meets local and federal safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO, or EHS requirements).

Your role
