Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians in Florence, SC seeks an LPN to join a 40-hour weekly clinical team. Under the direction of a registered nurse you provide patient/family centered care, support patients and families to manage health care, and document care plans and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an LPN program and SC or compact-state licensure.
• One year of LPN experience preferred and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient/family centered care, acting as partner and adviser, assists and supports patients and families to optimally manage their health care, respecting their culture and values, individual needs, health goals and treatment preferences.
• Prioritizes and documents patient incoming phone calls, as assigned, regarding medications, medical conditions, and reviews with provider as needed for orders or changes.

Education

Graduation from a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program and licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state.

One year of LPN experience preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
