Logistic Service Manager

About The Role
As a Logistics Service Manager, you will oversee the performance of our Logistics Service Provider (LSP) and ensure the implementation of Action’s operational standards and processes. Your goal is to optimize the efficiency of the distribution center (DC), ensure timely deliveries to stores, and maintain high‑quality logistics operations at the lowest possible cost.
Key Responsibilities
Contract & Relationship
- Ensure LSP meets agreed performance KPIs and is compliant with Action's values
- Drive efficient warehousing and transportation operations in line with SLA agreements
- Support Action’s contractual obligations to enable LSP performance
- Manage effective collaboration between LSP and Action’s internal teams
- Maintain strong communication structures with LSP/TSP and Action HQ
DC Operations
- Monitor and report on DC budget and financial metrics
- Approve monthly invoicing and evaluate additional costs or investments
- Ensure timely communication with stores and HQ regarding supply chain needs
- Oversee the maintenance and management of Action’s assets and equipment
- Manage local service partners (e.g., material handling equipment, waste management)
Project
- Lead process improvements and logistics procedures across DCs
- Prioritize and adjust planning during incidents, escalating when necessary
- Allocate sufficient resources to execute projects efficiently
- Implement new processes and changes in line with Action’s strategy
People
- Lead a team of 8 direct employees
- Provide clear instructions, planning, and leadership to achieve goals
- Develop team skills through feedback, coaching, and training
- Encourage innovation and learning through active participation
- Hire and onboard team members
- Implement succession planning
Requirements
- University degree with at least 8 years of professional experience, including 3 years in a managerial role
- Experience in retail and international environments is a plus
- Fluent in English (business level)
- Willingness to travel, especially during onboarding phase
- Strong Excel skills
- Operational experience in logistics/distribution
- Problem‑solving mindset and pragmatic approach, ability to prioritize and work under time pressure
